Apprenticeship Roles 

We are currently looking to recruit apprentices in:

Bid and Proposal Co-Ordinator Apprentice

As a Bid and Proposal Coordinator apprentice. You will work in the bid team that that includes bid coordinators and bid managers, working closely alongside the account managers, who as a team are responsible for providing winning proposals. As your ability grows you will be involved in:

  • Co-ordinating and administration of bids/proposals
  • Downloading bid documents from portals and dissemination to relevant colleagues
  • Co-ordinate proposal input from a variety of stakeholders
  • Producing small proposal and quote documents
  • Completing Selection Questionnaires and client on-boarding forms
  • Design of documents and infographics
  • Uploading documents to bidding portals and other associated admin tasks

Salary: £12,533 year 1, raging to £17,836 year 2. 

Entry requirements: Applicants are likely to have 4 GCSEs A*- C / 9 - 4, including Maths and English, or equivalent.

Carpenter & Joiner Level 2 (with potential to progress to Level 3)

The role involves preparing and installing basic building components e.g. doors, straight staircases, wall and floor units and erecting structural carpentry and roof structures on a building site or in domestic and commercial premises. The L3  takes you to the advanced level or carpentry.

Salary: £10,251 year 1, ranging to £18,277 year 3.

Entry requirements: no formal entry requirements.

Level 2 takes 24 months studying with Abingdon & Witney College.

Level 3 takes 15 months with Abingdon & Witney College.

Countryside Worker Level 2

Countryside Workers will be able and willing to do challenging work outdoors, in a variety of locations, which may be remote, including moorland, heathland and woodland, interact with the public and explain their work as well as undertaking their role all year round in a variety of weathers, both on their own and as part of a team. 

Salary: £10,251 year 1

Entry requirements: no formal entry requirements. 

Level 2 takes 12 months  with Sparsholt College

Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician Level 3

A motor vehicle service and maintenance technician services and repairs cars and vans and works in our Motor Transport department dealing with many different makes of vehicles. After successful completion you will be able to apply for professional registration with EngTec.

Salary: £10,251 year 1, ranging to £18,277 year 3.

Entry requirements: no formal entry requirements. 

Level 3 takes up to 36 months studying with Activate College.

Grounds Maintenance Level 2

The Grounds Maintenance Apprentice will learn to carry out all aspects of grounds maintenance in ODS Group Parks & Open Spaces in keeping with good horticultural practice, with a particular emphasis on quality of work. You will learn to use and maintain a full range of horticultural equipment.

Salary: £10,251 year 1, ranging to £12,103 year 2 (increases with age). 

Entry requirements: no formal entry requirements. 

Level 2 takes 24 months with Capel Manor College.

IT Solutions Technician Level 3

IT Technicians Apprentices will be working with teams across the business to configure mobiles and tablets for the use of 1st Touch, Stock&Go and other remote working systems.  By the end of this apprenticeship the candidate will be adept at using a number of mobile technologies, be able to perform basic repairs to faulty or damaged hardware and understand how data is used, stored and managed across the business.   You will gain BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Computing.

Salary: £12,533 year 1, raging to £17,836 year 2.                

Entry requirements: Applicants are likely to have 5 GCSEs A*- C / 9 - 4, including Maths and English, or equivalent.

Level 3 takes 18 months with Abingdon & Witney College.

Installation and Maintenance Electrician Level 3

Our electricians install, maintain and repair electrical systems in commercial and domestic environments working in our Property Services department. After successful completion you will be
able to apply for professional registration with EngTec.

Salary: £11,177 year 1, ranging to £21,365 in year 4.

Entry requirements: no formal entry requirements.

Level 3 takes up to 42 months studying with JTL.

 

 

 

Plumbing & Domestic Heating Technician Level 3

Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technicians plan, select, install, service, commission and maintain all aspects of plumbing and heating systems. Plumbing and domestic heating technicians can find themselves working inside or outside a property. By the end of this apprenticeship the candidate will have satisfied the requirements for registration as EngTech and to obtain a CSCS card

Salary: £11,177 year 1, ranging to £21,365 in year 4.

Entry requirements: no formal entry requirements. 

Level 3 takes up to 48 months studying with Abingdon & Witney College.

Procurement & Supply Assistant Level 3

The Procurement and Supply Assistant Apprentice will provide support to those leading procurement activities, assist with contract execution, or small procurement projects, where they will be given support and mentoring, across our two companies. Their capabilities will be developed through carrying out spend and market analysis whilst becoming a subject matter expert on the e-procurement system. By the end of this apprenticeship, the candidate will gain a Professional Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply - Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations

Salary: £12,533 year 1, raging to £17,836 year 2.

L3 takes up to 24 months studying with Oxford College of Procurement and Supply (also known as Oxford Professional Education Group (OXPEG).

HR Support Level 3

The HR Apprentice will deliver effective, high quality administrative support and customer service (to both internal and external customers) to the Company’s Human Resources functions in response to the varying work flows and changing priorities across the team Assist in providing first line support to employees and managers by phone and by email for HR enquiries and provide basic advice and guidance in accordance with policies and procedures. Help ensure that data and personal records are kept up to date, accurate and are maintained confidentially, including all information held on the HR Management Information System. Supporting the wider team in the preparation of information packs, reports and other paperwork, taking notes at meetings, etc.  At the end of this apprenticeship the candidate will gain CIPD Level 3 Diploma in Human Resources Practice.

Salary: £12,533 year 1, raging to £17,836 year 2.

Level 3 takes up to 18 months with Abingdon & Witney College.

Professional Accounting Technician Level 4

The Accounting Technician Apprentice will prepare monthly management accounts (preparing and posting financial journals, reconciliation of accounts etc) and management information packs. Work on Forecasting cycle (budget preparation, quarterly reforecasting). Assist with operational management in understanding their service areas’ financial performance against target as part of monthly performance reviews. Assist in maintaining the financial management system ensuring that the coding and reporting structure is fit for purpose. At the end of this apprenticeship the candidate will be awarded the AAT Professional Diploma in accounting Level 4.

Salary: £12,533 year 1, raging to £17,836 year 2.

Entry requirements: Level 3 AAT Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.

Level 4 takes 18 months with Abingdon & Witney College.
