The Abbey Meadows is a popular recreational area within the historic town of Abingdon-on-Thames that lies within the Vale of White Horse district.
Requirement
As part of a major renovation of the Abbey Meadows area the existing toilet block required extensive refurbishment. The work included the removal of asbestos prior to completing the builder’s work demolitions, drainage alterations, roofing works and the construction of new internal partitions. New ceilings, plastering, installation of doors, floor and wall tiling and complete sanitary ware fit out works were also required. Externally the building required rendering, the replacement of external doors and the creation of a new access with handrails, ramps and tarmac surfacing.

Utilising our multi skilled in-house team, we were able to deliver the project smoothly working alongside structural engineers, specialist contractors and equipment suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the works fully met the client’s brief.
Results
The building has been completely refurbished to the client’s requirement on time and within budget. The result is a modern and bright building that everyone can use with a ‘Space to Change’ facility, baby changing facilities and 5 self-contained unisex toilets.
