Requirement
- Remove safety issues from playground and footpaths
- Resolve issues with standing water on playground and footpaths
- Create a safe surface for all users and enhance the look of the school
Solution
- Take up all old paving slabs and send to be recycled
- Adjust all manhole covers to new line and level
- Install new drainage channels to remove and standing surface water
- Supply new and regrade subbase to new line and level
- Lay a 60mm binder course
- Lay a 30mm surface course layer
Results
- New level safe playground for the students at St Mary and St John’s
- Improved appearance of the hard surface around the school
