Most Sustainable Fleet Management Department

Oxford Direct Services has scooped the prize for the Most Sustainable Fleet Management Department at the Local Authority Plant and Vehicles (LAPV) Future Fleet Awards for the work it does on behalf of Oxford City Council.

Cllr Nigel Chapman, Board Member for Customer Services, said: "Congratulations to the Council and Oxford Direct Services for bringing home yet another award. LAPV recognised the investment we are making both in developing our staff and growing our eco-vehicle fleet. This coupled with excellent business practices and strategies that other local authorities might strive to achieve are clear evidence that working together makes for an effective forward thinking partnership."

LAPV is the only UK information source dedicated to local authority vehicles and plant equipment, offering articles on the latest equipment and technology as well interviews with key industry professionals.

The award was collected by Owain Pearce, Fleet Technical Officer, at the event held in The Guildhall in London, on 23 January.
