Our response to COVID-19

Our response to COVID-19

A message from the Managing Director

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, I wanted to write to you personally to reassure and update you on the measures we are putting in place to safeguard business continuity. We do not know to what extent the virus will impact the UK but our number one priority will always be the safety of our customers, suppliers and workforce.

To ensure we provide the best service to you during this period, we have an active Business Continuity Plan (BCP) that identifies how we deal with a variety of issues caused by the virus, such as reduced workforce, fuel or material supplies.

Flexible workforce
We have over 700 skilled and flexible member of our workforce that can (within the boundaries of their skills, abilities, licences and qualifications) be moved across the business to meet service needs.

Fuel shortage
Should there be any issues with fuel supply, we have large onsite fuel storage to overcome any disruption in services due to fuel shortages.

Materials
We have a good supply chain in place with strong reserves of stock for emergencies.

Safety
We have plans in place (in line with government guidance) to help stop further spreading of the virus through our activities.

We are here to help
In these difficult times, given the resources at our disposal, we are here to support and can assist you in your business continuity. We run a full range of services including property repairs and maintenance, cleansing, grounds maintenance, fleet management – so if you are struggling and we can help during this period with any of these, then do not hesitate to get in touch.

Finally, all of us here at ODS are wishing for a speedy conclusion to this difficult period and hope that any effects of this outbreak to you or your business are minimal.

Yours sincerely,

Simon Howick
