Resurfacing on Old High Street

Resurfacing on Old High Street

Please be aware that from January 16, ODS will begin carriageway resurfacing on Old High Street from London Road to St. Andrews Road.

The work is expected to take eight days and will be undertaken in three phases to minimise disruption. A road closure has been arranged to facilitate the work and ensure the safety of the residents, road users, and our workforce. ‘No Parking’ signs will be displayed, and vehicles will need to be removed from these areas by 7 a.m. the day the work starts.

Operatives will be on site assisting residents with access to frontages and driveways within the closure, and off-road parking areas will be maintained where possible.

There will be points in time when access will not be immediately granted:

• When heavy machinery is temporarily obstructing an entrance.

• Immediately after the tarmac surface has been laid to allow it to cure.

Your patience will be appreciated if there are any short, unavoidable delays in moving equipment to allow access. More Info: https://one.network/?tmi=GB24185492

Please accept our apologies in advance for the noise and inconvenience. If you have any mobility or access requirements, please make yourself known to the foreman of the works or call our office on the number below. If you require further information, please contact Highways & Engineering on 01865 252956.
