King George’s Field Improvements

We’re widening and formalising paths in King George’s Field to create a new shared cycle route to provide an off road link between Botley Road to Willow Walk.

The cycle route will be 3m wide – enough space for cyclists and pedestrians to share the space.

The work starts on Monday 13 March and will take around three weeks. During the work, the foot path will be closed and a diversion will be in place.

When work begins access to the King George’s Field via Lamarsh Road/Earl Street will be prevented, to reduce disruption, we will sign the diversion along alley way to access via Duke Street (see the diversion below).
