Historic Building Heating Upgrade
Client: Campion Hall
Department: Building Services
Completed: August 2025
Summary
Campion Hall required an upgrade of its heating system to ensure smooth and reliable operation of both radiators and hot water throughout the building. ODS was appointed to replace outdated radiators, service existing boilers, and integrate new components, all while preserving the hall’s historic character and period features.
Challenges
A key challenge was adapting new radiators to the existing pipework, which involved working with non-standard and older pipe sizes. In addition, original pipework needed to be carefully extended to accommodate new fittings. All works had to be completed with minimal disruption and without impacting the building’s original look and décor.
Solutions
ODS successfully updated the old radiators with modern equivalents, serviced the boilers, and extended the original pipework to suit the new installations. Detailed planning and skilled workmanship ensured the upgraded system operated efficiently while remaining visually in keeping with the building’s period design. The project was delivered on time through strong coordination and teamwork.
Results
The client was extremely pleased with the results, particularly the balance achieved between improved system performance and the retention of the building’s original features. The successful delivery and positive feedback have helped secure an ongoing relationship with Campion Hall for future works, highlighting a strong all-round team performance from ODS.
