Are you a skilled Vehicle Technician looking for a stable role within a busy workshop environment supporting local services?
We are looking for Light, Heavy and HGV Vehicle Technicians to join our well-established vehicle and plant maintenance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of fleet vehicle and equipment, helping keep essential services running across Oxford. Salary: £46,296 to £48,645 per annum PLUS discretionary £2,000 annual performance and attendance bonus
Permanent / Working hours: 42 hours per week
Location: Cowley Marsh
As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll carry out inspections, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs across a varied fleet, using modern diagnostic equipment and working as part of a collaborative workshop team. You’ll also support MOT preparation, safety inspections and occasional roadside assistance where required. This is a varied and rewarding role where your work makes a visible difference every day.
What We’re Looking For:
Holds a recognised qualification in vehicle maintenance (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent)
Has experience working on light vehicles, HGVs, plant, or mixed fleets
Is confident carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs to a high standard
Has experience using electronic diagnostic equipment
Has strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Holds a full UK driving licence (or equivalent)
Is willing to train as a DVSA Approved Tester (if not already qualified)
